How we count win rates
Where the data comes from
Matches from deadlock-api.com, which publishes public match data from Deadlock. Hero stats update every few hours, and we check for new patches every 30 minutes. LockMeta isn't affiliated with Valve.
What a win rate means
The share of games won by players on that hero or build in the window shown: the last 30 days on the tier list, and since the patch for “Since patch”.
Our standard
We show a hero's number once there are enough games to be within ±1 point, 95 times out of 100. That takes 10,000 games. Below that we show a dash, or tell you how far off it can be.
Tiers
Heroes are ordered by win rate at the ranks you picked, discounted for small samples (the lower end of the 95% range, called the Wilson lower bound), so a hero with few games can't jump to the top on luck. The top 15% are S, the next 25% A, the next 35% B and the rest C. Builds get tiers the same way.
Builds
A build is rated from 20 games, ranked by win rate with the same small-sample discount. Every build shows its games, and builds under 20 games sit in Experimental without a tier. Builds are held to a lower bar than heroes, so read a build with few games as a hint.
Ranks
Each rank you pick is fetched separately and the games are added up. High ranks have fewer games, so their numbers move more. When a selection is thin we say how far off it can be.
After a patch
“Since patch”, Rising and Falling wait until a hero has 10,000 games since the patch. That usually fills in within a day.
What we don't do
Rankings come only from match results. There is no personal data in these stats.
